  1. Do you make English Toffee yourself now? Is it crunchy or chewy?

  2. I don’t make it. It is very complicated about knowing by visuals about when the butter has turned to just the right temperature of toffee and knowing how to read the weather. It has to be dry and cool. Damp weather when you make it, makes the toffee too chewie.

My grandma’s toffee is hard crunchy with a layer of chocolate on both sides and then ground almonds. Think almond rocha but much, much, much better.
