Again with the feet

I took a nap this afternoon.  When I woke up, I couldn’t walk on my right foot.  It feel like someone is trying to bend it in half, lengthwise.  My thigh muscles are twitching and when I rub the spot, my toe joints shoot flaming pain.  The thing in my hip/sciatic throbs along to keep the toe to hip theme.

Big briefing at work tomorrow for the execs.  I am good at briefings, but nervous about this one because its not my subject area and someone  whose opinion really matters to me will be there.  I have been prepared for weeks, but need to refresh in the morning.

I hope I can walk.

  1. Have you been to a podiatrist, or your regular doctor? Pain is your body trying to tell you something. I ignored it for years (in my feet as well) until my sister/Pilates instructor insisted I do something. I’m glad I listened: I have a couple conditions that, unchecked, could become serious.

  2. Ouch. Feel better, friend.

  3. Hi Alison, yes I have seen a podiatrist and a rheumatologist, bone scans all that. For now, its just take alieve or ibuprofen, stay off it. It just happens sometimes. There are medicines, but they just cope, not cure so I am sticking with the ibuprofen while its intermittent.

  4. I am glad to hear that you got things checked out and sorry that there isn’t anything more you can do. How did your presentation go?
